Environment & asset modeling
Oversaw ideation and built all 3D environments and props in Autodesk Maya across two semesters of production.
Painterly texturing in Substance 3D Painter
Developed a cohesive painterly visual style applied to all assets — giving the film its distinctive hand-crafted aesthetic.
Sequence animation in Maya
Animated the film's sequences, maintaining visual consistency and narrative flow across the full runtime.
OVERVIEW
Burnout was my BFA capstone at ASU — a two-semester collaborative animated short film made alongside a team of women. It premiered at the 2024 ASU Animation Showcase and was celebrated for its heartfelt narrative and artistic quality.
I led the 3D side of the production: designing and modeling the environment and all assets in Maya, texturing them in a painterly style using Substance 3D Painter, and animating the sequences through to final render.
This project gave me a deep understanding of the full animation pipeline — from concept through delivery — and what it takes to maintain a cohesive visual language across a collaborative production.
